➤ A work in progress, the state of Maryland recently acquired the James Brice House and opened the nationally renowned five-part Georgian mansion to the public. Space is available for meetings and other events.

➤ The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute completed a $256,000 renovation of its conference center in January.

➤ Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium officially opened its much anticipated Clubs at Akerson Tower last November, providing more than 70,000 square feet of flexible meeting space overlooking the Annapolis skyline.

➤ The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel recently completed a multistage overhaul of the facility, including permanent installation of audiovisual equipment throughout the venue’s 5,600 square feet of flexible meeting space.

➤ The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, in Stevensville, opened its new 54-room luxury boutique inn in October. The inn will add a 100-person-capacity ballroom to the venue’s existing event space options.

➤ After more than 20 years of renovations, Hidden View Farm, in Crownsville, recently opened its 107-acre property of garden space for events. The venue offers three event spaces for groups between 50 and 300 people.

➤ Marriott opened the doors on Hanover’s Fairfield Inn & Suites Arundel Mills BWI Airport in March. The 96-room property includes a 598-square-foot meeting space for groups up to 40.

➤ Formerly the Sleep Inn and Suites BWI, the Best Western Plus BWI Airport North Inn & Suites recently completed a $2.5 million renovation and rebranding. The 145-room property provides 2,000 square feet of meeting space.

➤ The Comfort Inn & Suites BWI Airport recently reopened after completing a $3 million renovation. The 161-room property offers 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space including an executive boardroom.
