Due to open in 2016 alongside Edinburgh’s Forth Road Bridge and iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site Forth Bridge, the new Queensferry Crossing is set to be the world’s longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge.

In May 2015, the famous Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire unveiled the new 8,200-square-foot Gleneagles Arena. Home to four indoor tennis courts, the £750,000 development doubles as versatile event space for up to 2,250 guests. Also new is the property’s Outlander group itinerary which showcases Scotland’s highland scenery, and five-day Spectacular Scotland Incentive program, jointly produced with The Balmoral Hotel.
Also in May 2015, Glasgow’s 49-room Hotel du Vin unveiled a £200,000 upgrade including new function suites, public areas, bar, bistro and whisky snug.
Aberdeen’s 16th century Crathes Castle has transformed its former horse-driven threshing mill into The Horsemill, providing event space for up to 150 people. The venue has also signed an exclusive partnership with Team Challenge Company and Go Ape.
In May 2016, Delta (www.delta.com) commences daily non-stop service from JFK to Edinburgh. American Airlines has launched new seasonal daily non-stop service from JFKto Edinburgh, running from May 7 through September. Westjet has launched similar seasonal service from Halifax, with connections to all major Canadian cities.
