For its 50th anniversary next year, the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway has announced plans to replace its current tram cars with new, rebranded cars. Plans also call for demolishing the current High Finance restaurant at the tramway’s peak and replacing it with a new version fitting the rebrand.  

The 118-room Hotel Chaco is a new boutique from leading New Mexico hotelier Heritage Hotels & Resorts that is expected to open in Albuquerque's Old Town by early 2017.  

SANTA FE

Offering 40,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space and state-of-the-art A/V capabilities, the 72,000-square-foot Santa Fe Community Convention Center has upgraded to high density Meraki cloud-based Wi-Fi hot spots throughout the building, capable of handling 100+ people connecting per spot. The venue is also now upgrading bandwidth to accommodate larger groups and provide online access to up to 960 people in the Ballroom. 

With more than 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, the AAA Four-Diamond Eldorado Hotel & Spa completed extensive updates in the summer of 2015, including refreshed designs for all 219 guest rooms and suites, new 7,000-square-foot grand ballroom, lobby bar and elegant non-denominational wedding chapel.  

With 20 spacious casitas and 32 resort-style guest rooms, Sunrise Springs Integrative Wellness Resort opened in August 2015. Set on a historic natural springs site, this 70-acre resort offers therapeutically-designed programming, integrative spa services and other wellness-focused programs.
