Providence
- The 564-room Omni Providence Hotel (www.omnihotels.com) is scheduled to begin a renovation of its guest rooms and corridors in spring 2016.
- At press time, the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel (www.marriott.com) was on track to complete a lobby and guest room renovation by the end of this year.
- The Providence Biltmore (www.providencebiltmore.com) completed a renovation earlier this year that included updates to its lobby, guest rooms and meeting spaces.
Warwick
- At press time, Residence Inn Providence Warwick (www.marriott.com) was scheduled to begin a full property renovation Dec. 1, including upgrading all 96 guest rooms and public spaces. The project is scheduled for completion by March 2016.
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Warwick-Providence Airport (www.ihg.com) recently renovated its lobby, 146 guest rooms and meeting spaces.
- Hilton Garden Inn Providence Airport/Warwick (http://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com) recently renovated its guest rooms, lobby and public spaces.
Newport
- Newport Marriott (www.newportmarriott.com) reopened in April, debuting an extensive transformation, including renovations to all 320 guest rooms and suites, lobby and common areas, as well as the addition of a new harborside restaurant, MainSail, and two new bars.
- In October, the Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina (www.newporthotel.com) opened Saltwater Harborside Dining, featuring a fireside lounge, a harbor view dining room and alfresco dining overlooking the hotel’s 60-slip marina. The hotel’s guest rooms will receive new soft goods by March 2016.
