California
The 363-room InterContinental Los Angeles Century City debuted the Grand Chateau Ballroom. The 1,500-square-foot space is the hotel’s second ballroom and features a built-in sound system and customizable LED lightening. From the ballroom there is access to an outdoor terrace, and the space can accommodate 90 seated or 140 reception-style. In total, the property has 16,650 square feet of meeting space with 15 breakout meeting rooms, including two executive boardrooms and four chateaus with terraces and private bathrooms.

Viejas Casino & Resort, located just outside San Diego, opened its second hotel tower and expanded casino. The new tower is separated from the original hotel by the pool and has 109 rooms, a fitness and business center, and a bar and lounge. The tower also features nine meeting spaces, including the Oak Ballroom, which can accommodate 1,200 people. This expansion creates an additional 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor multifunction space, and increases the hotel’s accommodations to 237 rooms and suites.

Colorado
The Westin Westminster completed the remodel of its 377 rooms and suites. Located in the Denver suburb, many of the rooms have Rocky Mountain views and feature new furniture, redesigned work spaces and technology advancements. The hotel worked with Denver art curators NINE dot ARTS to place more than 350 works by Colorado artists in its guest rooms. The property features 30,000 square feet of meeting space and an additional 30,000 square feet of outdoor event and function space. The 12,000-square-foot Westminster Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,200 people.

Nevada
The original Roman tower at Caesars Palace Las Vegas has been renovated and renamed Julius Tower. The 587-room tower is expecting to welcome guests starting Jan. 1, and is part of the brand’s ongoing transformation. The all-new rooms feature custom artwork that combines photographs of roman statues with artistic hand-drawn costumes. Overall, the property has 3,980 guest rooms and 300,000 square feet of meeting space. The 51,000-square-foot pillarless Octavius and Forum ballrooms can each accommodate up to 5,555 and be reconfigured into up to 25 separate breakout rooms.

Utah
The Hyatt Place Park City is scheduled to open by the end of the year in time for ski season. The 122-room hotel is just off Route 224, offering easy access to the area’s parks, such as Deer Valley Resort and Utah Olympic Park, as well as the historic Main Street and Park City Mountain Resort. The property features 1,450 square feet of meeting space, divisible into two 750-square-foot rooms.

Mexico
The JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa opened with 299 rooms and suites. Located in the Puerto Los Cabos community, the design of the resort was inspired by the dunes and coastline of the region. The property also features a 45-room boutique hotel, Griffin Club, within the resort, which features a private beach and pool, a butler and chef services. The resort has over 37,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the 7,950-square-foot Mila Ballroom, the 5,424-square-foot Amet Patio and the 7,104-square-foot Sum-San amphitheater.
