Mehmet Bahtiyar

Renaissance Boca Raton welcomes Mehmet Bahtiyar as general manager. With over 15 years of hotel industry experience Bahtiyar, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 189-room hotel, which include attention to service, elevated guest relations and generative revenue.

“We are thrilled to have Mehmet join the Renaissance Boca Raton team,” states Joe Masi, regional VP operations. “He brings remarkable experience and is a wonderful addition to the hotel and the TPG Hospitality family.”

 

Bahtiyar most recently served as director of operations at The Westin Tysons Corner Hotel, Va. where he managed 100 associates in the service express, front desk, bell services, engineering and housekeeping departments.

Bahtiyar began his career in the hospitality industry overseas, working with the Swissotel Company for over 10 years, gaining knowledge at different properties across the world within different hospitality divisions. As a front office manager at The Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C., he gained valuable experience in guest relations and all areas of rooms division. He furthered his career at The Watergate Hotel as director of housekeeping and also held the position of rooms division manager at The Melrose Hotel in Washington, D.C. and held the position of director of services at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C., for four years.

The Renaissance Boca Raton features 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space including 15 meeting rooms and the 4,000-square-foot Coral Ballroom.
