The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines completed a renovation of its meeting and event space. The 394-room hotel offers more than 20,000 square feet of space and 21 meeting rooms, including the 12,000-square-foot, pillar-free Grande Ballroom.
Expected to open in summer 2016 in the Gaslamp Quarter is the Pendry San Diego. The 317-room hotel, located three blocks from the convention center, will include several restaurants and bars, including an underground nightclub and a beer hall. The hotel will feature an 8,600-square-foot ballroom and additional meeting rooms and spaces.
The 129-room Kona Kai Resort & Spa completed a property-wide renovation that included the guest rooms, spa, Vessel restaurant and meeting space. The Noble House and Hotels property offers 13,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, most of which has bay and marina views and includes the nearly 9,400-square-foot Point Loma Ballroom. The property also has 43,000 square feet of outdoor venues, including San Diego’s only private beach, outfitted with fire pits and available for events.
Renovations are underway at Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants’ Hotel Solamar. All 235 rooms, the lobby and 8,800 square feet of event space will be revamped with completion slated for spring 2016. The hotel has six meeting rooms, two hospitality suites, a private dining area at the on-site restaurant JSix, along with a rooftop terrace that can accommodate up to 500 for a reception. The meeting space, including the 3,300-square-foot Solstice Ballroom, will also be updated.
