When it comes to green meetings we know about recycling, even composting, omitting plastic bottles and going paperless, but we don’t always think about the water footprint of our food. This is how much water it takes to grow, feed and make the food we consume, sometimes on a daily basis.
Pound for pound, beef has one of the highest water footprints because of the water needed to grow the grass and feed that cattle eat, in addition to drinking, cleaning and processing.
