Sean Lynch

Viceroy Central Park New York and Cassa Hotel New York, two properties under Viceroy Hotel Group’s management, announced the appointment of Sean Lynch as the area director of sales and marketing.

Lynch’s extensive background in sales, marketing and operations in the field of hospitality will be beneficial in his newest role where he will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for the properties. He will also work with both senior management teams to strengthen their strategic visions over the next several years.

“Over the past 25 years, I have had the opportunity to work in several cities and countries and am excited about my return to the Big Apple,” Lynch said. “It is an exciting time for both Viceroy Central Park New York and Cassa Hotel New York and I look forward to furthering their presence, developing new initiatives and establishing a lasting connection with our customers, the community, and my team here.”

Prior to this appointment, Lynch held the position of director of sales and marketing for The Waldorf Astoria Chicago since 2012. Before his time in Chicago, he spearheaded the opening of the five star, luxury Trump SoHo New York in 2011 and played an integral part in the hiring and managing of the sales team as well as implementing an action plan for the hotel’s opening.

A native of England, Lynch’s hospitality career began as a trainee manager at The Dormy Hotel in Dorset, England. He held various positions within prominent English hotels, including The Belfry in Warwickshire and London’s renowned Dorchester Hotel, where he served as a reservations executive for four years. In 1998, Lynch was promoted to global account director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in London.

In 2000, he moved to New York as director of business travel sales for the W Hotels in New York. From 2004 through 2008, he served as a global account director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in New York.
