Lanai
The Four Seasons Resort Lanai, previously known as the Manele Bay Hotel, is scheduled to reopen this month following a $75 million renovation. Its sister property, the Lodge at Koele, remains closed for renovation but is expected to reopen by the end of the year.

Hale Keaka, formerly the Lanai Theater, reopened after an extensive renovation that added state-of-the-art technology to the 1926 theater overlooking Dole Square in Lanai City. Along with showing first-run movies, the theater is a venue for live plays and musical performances.

Maui
Virgin America inaugurated flight service between San Francisco and Kahalui, Maui, in December. The daily nonstop flights are on Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline also has new daily service between San Francisco and Honolulu.

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea unveiled two new event venues. The Beach Front Lawn, located just steps from Wailea Beach, accommodates up to 50 guests, while Wailea Point, perched above the ocean, accommodates up to 30 guests.

Travaasa Hana Maui completed a $12 million renovation of its 70 suites and plantation-style Ocean Bungalows, which included new island-style decor.

Tedeschi Vineyards at the Ulapalkua Ranch in Upcountry Maui rebranded itself as Maui Wine. The 41-year-old winery, which is a popular event venue, revamped its logo and packaging and launched a new website. The winery also recently added a third daily tour of its grounds, which includes the historic King’s Cottage.

The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui completed a $70 million resort-wide renovation project. Highlights include a makeover of the Ko Restaurant, which features plantation-era-inspired cuisine made with island ingredients, and the addition of a new poolside restaurant and swim-up bar.

The Montage Kapalua is offering the newly renovated Cliff House, a historic home dating from the 1940s, as an event venue for groups of 40 or less. The elegant house perched on the cliffs above Nabalu Bay offers spectacular views, conference seating, a large-screen television and a full kitchen.
