Bellevue
The Seattle Marriott Hotel Bellevue opened in June with 384 guest rooms and 21,000 square feet of event space, including a 6,200-square-foot ballroom and 17 meeting rooms.

The W Bellevue is scheduled to open in spring 2017 in the Lincoln Square mixed-use development. The 245-room hotel will occupy the first 13 stories of a 41-story residential tower.

The Meydenbauer Convention Center completed a $12.5 million renovation that included audiovisual and network upgrades and an updated exterior.

Seattle
The Washington State Convention Center has acquired land in downtown Seattle for the construction of an additional convention center one block north of the existing facility. With an opening projected for 2020, the new center will have 250,000 square feet of exhibit space and 170,000 square feet of meeting space.

A new 1,264-room convention property, which will be the largest in Seattle, is currently under construction by developer R.C. Hedreen Co. Offering 105,000 square feet of meeting space, the new hotel will be one block from the existing convention center and adjacent to the new convention center under development. No operator has yet been announced.

The Fairmont Olympic Hotel is undergoing a $25 million renovation of all 450 guest rooms that is scheduled for completion in July.

Construction is under way on the SLS Four Star Hotel, a 184-room downtown property that will be part of a new 43-story tower. The property will offer 15,000 square feet of meeting space, a rooftop lounge and a full-service spa.

Tacoma
The historic Elks Lodge building is being converted to the McMenamins Elks Lodge, a 45-room boutique hotel that will include three restaurants, a craft brewery, a rooftop herb and vegetable garden and space for live music events and meetings. The opening is slated for summer 2017.
