Tropicana Atlantic City announced it will begin one more round of renovations, which will focus on its 500 Havana Tower hotel rooms. Scheduled to be complete in May 2016, the enhancements will include new carpeting and artwork, and bathroom redesigns. The South Tower casino will also be renovated to match the North Tower casino’s recent upgrades.

Overall, the property features 2,079 rooms and the 200,000-square-foot entertainment complex, The Quarter. The 122,000 square feet of meeting space includes an 18,000-square-foot ballroom and 20,000-square-foot Exhibition Center.

The Marriott Syracuse Downtown is in the final stages of a $70 million restoration. The property—formerly the Hotel Syracuse—originally opened in 1924, and as the restoration nears its completion, hidden gems such as a barbershop and the original Art Deco terrazzo floors of the hotel’s Rainbow Lounge were uncovered.

The property will have 279 rooms, a full-service restaurant, a sports bar, a steakhouse and a coffee shop. There will also be 43,000 square feet of meeting space, including three ballrooms and eight meeting rooms in the conference center built to meet International Association of Conference Centres (IACC) accreditation guidelines. The IACC accreditation is one of the reasons the hotel was chosen as the official hotel for Onondaga County Convention Center, also known as The Oncenter.

Melia Hotels International (MHI) announced the INNSIDE New York NoMad will open in March 2016. This 313-room hotel will be MHI’s first property in New York City and the first INNSIDE hotel in North America. The two meetings suites, which total nearly 1,200 square feet, will feature lounge furniture, communal tables and seating areas as well as out-of-the-box items like fitness balls and dartboards to inspire collaborative creativity in a relaxed living room setting. Meeting spaces also feature new technologies such as Smart Kapp, a program that has modernized the dry erase board to allow participants to receive content across multiple devices.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts North America announced the completion of upgrades to Millennium Buffalo. The multimillion-dollar transformation includes a new look for all 301 guest rooms and suites, many of which have private patios or balconies overlooking the courtyard and indoor pool.

Located just a short drive from Niagara Falls, the property features 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the 6,300-square-foot Presidential Ballroom that can accommodate 700 guests.

The ACE Conference Center has been renamed the Chubb Hotel & Conference Center. The center’s parent company, ACE Insurance, acquired Chubb Insurance and the combined company will begin operating in the Chubb name. The hotel’s 120 recently renovated rooms feature balconies or patios with views of the golf course or courtyard and there are two executive suites. The property offers over 50,000 square feet of meeting space, including 38 conference rooms, three amphitheaters and outdoor spaces.

The 5,000-square-foot Marquis Ballroom can accommodate over 400 guests.
