Dining Q&A With Teryi Youngblood

Teryi Youngblood is Chef de Cuisine at Passerelle Bistro and one of four South Carolina Chef Ambassadors selected by Gov. Nikki Haley for 2016.

How would you characterize Greenville’s culinary scene today?

Since starting out as pastry chef at Soby’s in 2001, I’ve witnessed Greenville’s dining story explode. Today, there are 100-plus restaurants in downtown alone, with menus for every taste and budget. Opening Passrelle in 2013, part of the seven-restaurant Table 301 group along with Soby’s, I’ve proudly contributed to expanding and diversifying the scene.

How can groups experience Passrelle Bistro?

We offer flexible dining and meeting arrangements for groups small and large—buyouts included—in spaces that include our patio, enclosed outdoor area and cozy dining room. With an open kitchen, seating at our chef’s bar is especially popular. Along with interactive experiences at the restaurant, I also personally teach private programs at our neighboring kitchen and appliance store The Cook’s Station.
