SANTA CRUZ, Calif.
Hotel Paradox is now a part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the Autograph Collection Hotels portfolio,” said Julie Baylor, general manager of Hotel Paradox. “It’s a perfect fit that lets Hotel Paradox retain its individual personality while being able to offer more value for our guests through enhanced services and access to the worldwide Marriott Rewards network.”
Located in the heart of Santa Cruz and a short walk to the city’s main drag, Pacific Avenue, the hotel recently underwent renovations. The 164 guest rooms have natural forest elements in the décor like reclaimed wood paneling, stump tables and river rock shower floors with rain showerheads.
The property’s organic, American comfort food themed Solaire Restaurant + Bar features local and sustainable menu items from Executive Chef Ross McKee, such as fresh-caught seafood and a variety of seasonal dishes, set in an "outdoor" atmosphere with a multi-angled ceiling adorned with backlit trees and blue sky.
The hotel invites guests to embrace Santa Cruz, welcoming travelers to the lobby’s front desk which is made of reclaimed eucalyptus trees. Around the pool there are fire pits and updated cabanas. The property offers 8,000 square feet of meeting space including six meeting rooms and the largest ballroom in Santa Cruz.
