Mall of America Adds Attractions

In addition to the development outside of the Mall of America in Bloomington, a number of new attractions and event spaces have recently launched or are under construction at the mall, which receives around 40 million visitors annually.

Here’s a quick rundown of what is new or in progress:

  • The Parkview event space located on the south side of Nickelodeon Universe is scheduled for a spring launch. The 4,000-square-foot event location will book corporate meetings, conventions, weddings, social receptions and banquets. The space will accommodate 400.
  • The Crayola Experience at the Mall of America will open this summer. The 60,000-square-foot concept will be located in the Southeast Court on Level 3 and will include event space.
  • FlyOver America—a simulation ride that takes guests on an aerial tour of U.S. landmarks and regions—is set to open this spring and will include some of the latest special effects.
  • The Mall of America also launched its paperless valet program this past holiday season. Radisson Blu Mall of America was the first to use the text-based valet service that simplifies the parking process for guests by using a three-step vehicle drop-off and request service.

Beyond the new on-site attractions and adjacent JW Marriott, the Mall of America is also the perfect spot for a group dine-around with restaurants that include Cantina Laredo; Cedar + Stone, Urban Table; Zio Modern Italian; Burger Burger; and the newly remodeled Rainforest Cafe, among other options.
