Entertainment on Wheels

Another great way to explore an entertainment district—especially when spirits will be on the menu—is via quadracycle, which allows attendees to do the pedaling while enjoying onboard entertainment or just taking in the sights. Here are some choices:

Limo Cycle Tours

With locations in Sanford and Port Canaveral, Limo Cycle offers a variety of tours, most about two hours in length, including scavenger hunts and a pub crawl in downtown Sanford.

“It’s a basic pub tour, stopping at two or three pubs and letting folks sample the nightlife,” says Steve Tishman, managing partner, who says two cycles can handle about 30 at a time.

“We narrate the tour, though some of the info is genuine, some is made up, just as a joke,” Tishman says.

To incorporate teambuilding along the way, a trivia tour includes three rounds of general trivia, stopping at bars between each round, and offering a grand prize to the team with the highest score.

Scavenger hunts also break the group into teams.

Each team is given a clue at each stop we make,” Tishman says. “They have to decipher the clue and find the item. It’s all about competition. We encourage trash talk and side bets.”

CP Tours

Boasting a number of excursion options, CP Tours runs the wildly popular Cycle Party quadracycle, which to date has given over 1,500 tours for more than 20,000 guests in Fort Lauderdale alone. The company has since expanded to Palm Beach and just launched a Cycle Party in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.

In Fort Lauderdale, groups pedal their way on a private pub crawl along glittering Las Olas Boulevard and historic Himmarshee Village, home to locally owned bars, music venues and eclectic clubs and cafes.
