Want to make your life a little easier? There’s an app for that. At least, there should be.
“We’re seeing a massive shift to paperless for meetings, with conference apps being used more and more,” notes Lily Etemadi, manager of meetings & travel trade for VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official tourism marketing corporation. “Some of the trends we’re seeing include ‘beacons’ technology for tradeshows, where the planner can interact with attendees via a small wireless transmitter. For instance, when a delegate walks on to the tradeshow floor, their name can instantly appear on the monitors.”
Following are some new apps and other tactical tech things:
- Volusia County Parks and Trails App
Helps you explore the parks and trails of lovely Volusia County on Florida’s central east coast. - The City of Cocoa Beach mobile app
Find out where to stay, dine, play and shop, plus keep up on local surf reports. - The Hilton Naples has just announced digital entry to its rooms.
- The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach completed a redesign of its lobby area to create a central hub with USB charging stations.
