Massachusetts
The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Boston completed an $11 million guest room renovation. Located in a restored building that was once the infamous Charles Street Jail, the 298 guest rooms, many of which have views of Beacon Hill and the Charles River, now feature custom furniture, fixtures and artwork and have library-style chairs, hardwood floors and leather headboards. The 2,220-square-foot Ebersol Suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, living and dining rooms, a butler pantry, a library and a 300-square-foot patio. The property offers a 3,000-square-foot ballroom that can seat 300 as well as additional meeting spaces that range from 415 to 1,050 square feet. For cocktail receptions or breaks, groups can use the hotel’s catwalks, which allow guests to look out into the open rotunda and lobby below.

Dazzler Brooklyn Hotel unveiled its new space, the Dazzler Ballroom. The 174-room hotel, which opened in August 2015, is located near the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Museum and Barclays Center. The subterranean ballroom, which can accommodate 250 for a reception, has nearly 4,000 square feet with an additional 700-square-foot adjacent prefunction space. The on-site events team partners with food purveyors that use locally sourced items to offer a variety of food and beverage options. The hotel is part of Dazzler hotels and is the first of the brand in the U.S.

The InterContinental New York Barclay is set to debut in early May after a $180 million, 18-month renovation. The 704-room hotel, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, kept its original Federal-style while adding modern design and amenities like energy saving initiatives such as CFL and LED lighting The redesigned lobby will feature The Gin Parlour, a gin bar and lounge, and this summer the Presidential Sky Suite will be open with three bedrooms and a 1,500-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooking the Chrysler building. The hotel will offer 15,000 square feet of meeting space, including nine meeting rooms and two ballrooms. The Grand Ballroom, the larger of the two, will be able to accommodate up to 500 guests.

Vantage Hotels announced the opening of the 279-room Lexington Rochester Airport Hotel. Formerly the Holiday Inn at Greater Rochester International Airport, the hotel offers a complimentary 24/7 airport shuttle, an indoor pool and a bar and restaurant that features live entertainment. Less than five miles from downtown, the hotel is nearby the University of Rochester, Susan B. Anthony Museum & House, Blue Cross Arena and Rochester Institute of Technology. There are 10 on-site meeting rooms and nearly 8,400 square feet of meeting space with the capacity to accommodate up to 350 guests.

Pennsylvania
Windsor Suites, a Modus Hotel, is set to unveil a multimillion-dollar renovation. Located in downtown Philadelphia, near The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Comcast Center and Rittenhouse Square, the hotel features 1,900 square feet of meeting space. The redesign includes a tiered lobby that is centered around a 40-foot-tall spiraling sculpture and offers nooks for private meetings and communal spaces on the reception and mezzanine levels. The new meeting spaces, the 1,056-square-foot Congress Hall can accommodate 80 people, while the Gazette, an executive boardroom, features built-in window bench seating and a private entrance. The hotel has a rooftop pool and social space that is currently in design development for a renovation to be completed in 2017.
