Austria
Austria’s first Hilton Garden Inn opened in the Wienerberg district of Vienna. The Hilton Garden Inn Vienna South features 173 guest rooms, including four suites with separate living rooms. The hotel overlooks the Wienerberg Golf Club and is near the Vienna Twin Towers & Business Park as well as the corporate offices of Coca-Cola, Philips and Microsoft. There are eight meeting rooms, totaling over 5,000 square feet. The Paris and Rio rooms can be combined to make one large room that can accommodate 350 attendees.

Brazil
The beachfront Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro debuted in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. The hotel offers 436 guest rooms, including two Presidential suites and a 2,100-square-foot Penthouse suite that includes a terrace with a lounge area and plunge pool. There is over 21,500 square feet of meeting and event space that overlooks the property’s lagoons, featuring two ballrooms, nine meeting rooms, two loft kitchen areas and outdoor prefunction and terrace spaces. The larger of the two ballrooms can accommodate nearly 800 attendees. The hotel features three restaurants and a Grand Lounge for Grand Club floor guests.

China
Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of Hilton Haikou. The hotel is located in the island’s tallest building and is within walking distance to the beach, major businesses and the city’s attractions, including Century Park, Evergreen Park and Hainan Volcanic Crater Park. The lobby is on the 35th floor and its 400 guest rooms are on the 36th to 52nd floors, offering views of the city and Haikou Bay, while the Executive Lounge is on the top 57th floor. The hotel has five restaurants and bars, including the jazz bar on the 55th floor with live performances and specializing in rum and whiskey. There is over 21,500 square feet of meeting space, including 15 meeting rooms and a 7,400-square-foot pillarless ballroom.

Finland
The former Solo Sokos Hotel Aleksanteri was renovated and opened as Radisson Blu Aleksanteri Hotel, Helsinki. The hotel has 151 guest rooms and the Aleksanteri Lounge on the ground floor is a space for guests to relax, dine or work. The hotel features the brand’s signature Super Breakfast concept, which focuses on local specialties. There are two meeting rooms that combined can accommodate 50 people. The Library Cabinet is a street-level space that has the feel of a private residence, and the Akeksanteri Loft, on the top-floor of the hotel, offers a studio apartment-style setting and can be booked with the sauna department for an authentic Finnish experience.

Germany
The Moxy Munich Airport, a new Marriott International brand, opened five minutes from Munich Airport’s main terminal. The 252-room hotel has nine meeting rooms that are each different in design and offer natural light. The Club is a formal boardroom whereas The Brian Box has bean bags, blackboard walls and wall hangings such as a wooden elephant, designed to inspire attendees to discuss “the elephant in the room.” The hotel’s 24/7 self-service food and beverage concept includes a coffee bar, sushi, salads, local dishes like currywurst and speatzle as well as cocktails, craft beers and specialty wines.
