In a city that never stops reinventing itself, Las Vegas is once again dealing a new hand. Upgrades, new developments and serious meetings investment are all a part of the always changing Vegas landscape.
This year’s supplement represents frequent contributor Jeff Heilman’s fourth consecutive Meetings Today Las Vegas, focusing on all that is new in the Entertainment Capital of the World.
In our lead story, “The Power of Meetings,” Heilman consults with top meetings experts, supporting the claim that group gatherings are as much a part of the business profile of Vegas as its casinos and star-studded shows.
Speaking of shows, groups learn the art of “Building Team Synergy” with programs like Cirque du Soleil’s SPARK Sessions. In this focus on unique venues, Heilman also visits the Las Vegas Arts District, Neon Museum, Liberace Garage and Fremont Street, to name just a few of the city’s enticing off-sites.
“Versatile Venues” continues the theme of meetings-focused new projects, like the conversion of the former Riviera Resort & Casino into an expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
In “Capital Gains,” Heilman details the many new-build properties and upcoming projects underway in Vegas, including MGM Resorts Internationals’ The Park, linking the Strips’ west side to the new T-Mobile Arena, as well as Downtown transformations and expansions.
On a lighter note, “Culture Club” and “Lights, Camera, Vegas!” set the spotlight on Las Vegas’ glittery dazzle, looking at the city’s visual and performing arts outlets as well as penning a retrospective on its history as a Hollywood set, from Diamonds Are Forever to Casino.
Enjoy all that is glittery and new in this year’s Meetings Today Las Vegas!
