Kentucky Hotel Reveals New Meeting Space

LEXINGTON, Ky.

Hyatt Regency Lexington unveiled 20,000 square feet of renovated meeting and event space and new group programming introducing authentic Lexington experiences. Strategically connected to Rupp Arena and Lexington Convention Center, the updated Hyatt Regency Lexington continues to prove it is the ideal venue for group meetings and special events.

“The overall improvement of the space is outstanding -- for guests attending a meeting or event, prepare to be impressed with some of the finest options in the state of Kentucky,” says Ron van Haaren, general manager at Hyatt Regency Lexington.

With more than 19,000 square feet of meetings and event space and 4,500 square feet of prefunction space, complete with two ballrooms and 17 meeting rooms, the hotel can accommodate guests from 10 to 3,000. Flexible meeting rooms are adjacent to Lexington Convention Center and the 23,000-seat Rupp Arena, which also offers more than 130,000 square feet of event space that Hyatt Regency Lexington has access to for planning events. Expert audiovisual specialists and service teams are available 24-hours.

Complementing the enhanced group space is a new meeting program debuting ways to encourage camaraderie and creativity. To share Lexington history among a group, Hyatt Regency Lexington announces “Bourbon Mixology Magic.” Groups will gain a tailored experience that involves dividing attendees into teams. After a short education on the history of bourbon and an overview of mixing cocktails using bourbon, each team will create a signature drink made with bourbon that will be presented for review to a select group of hotel directors for judgment. The event wraps up with a few food pairings and a small batch of bourbon for the road.

Situated in the lively Bluegrass Region, the 366-room hotel offers an indoor heated pool, business center and a 24-hour StayFit@Hyatt gym with preferred tee times at Players Club of Lexington, University Club of Kentucky and Kearny Hills Links.
