Describe your event.
Cruise Planners is the nation’s largest network of home-based travel agents. We plan events throughout the nation at different times of the year, all produced in-house. In early May 2016, 100 franchise owners participated in our three-day Cruise Planners Atlantic City Boot Camp 2016, with two to three room nights per person.
Designed to enhance our agents’ knowledge of travel products and providers, boost their sales and marketing strategies, and assist with presentation and technology skills, Boot Camp also provides a great networking experience for our franchise owners to share ideas, best practices and success stories with our travel partners, and each other.
Why did you select Atlantic City and the Harrah’s Atlantic City Waterfront Conference Center?
Atlantic City was a great choice in terms of location, with many of our travel agents concentrated in the Northeast drive market. Some participants took the train or quick flights from other states. Harrah’s brand new state-of-the-art conference center made them the front-runner and an easy choice for us. The space was incredible, and we were able to showcase the property’s meetings and events areas to our travel agents. Many specialize in selling travel groups and plan events as well, so our host property gains added exposure and a larger potential reach.
How would you rate the experience, and would you return to Atlantic City?
From the initial sales and contracting process to the convention services managers on-site, everything was seamless. We were very impressed with the service and attentiveness--the Caesars Entertainment team thought of everything and made our event so easy to conduct while on-property. We will absolutely return to Atlantic City, and would like to use Harrah’s again next year.
