Meet Me at the Brewery

Craft beer was big in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs long before the IPA craze spread across the U.S., and there are several iconic breweries in town that also cater to the group market. The following is just a taste of the numerous drinking establishments available in the Rocky Mountain region.

Breckenridge Brewery and Wynkoop Brewing Co. co-own the Breck on Blake restaurant in downtown Denver, with event space for up to 150. Meanwhile, Great Divide Brewing Co. features a Mezzanine for up to 125, a Production area for up to 250 and the more intimate Barrel Bar for up to 50 people (75 including its patio).

In Boulder, Avery Brewing Company’s Tap Room can be rented out for mid-size groups, and brewery tours are also available for smaller groups. Upslope Brewing Company runs two tap rooms out of Lee Hill and Flatiron Park, and according to the Boulder CVB, does a great job accommodating groups.

Finally, in Colorado Springs, Triple S Brewing Company offers a more intimate feel than the previously mentioned breweries and can be rented out for private functions of up to 89 people. The venue also includes free Wi-Fi as an added bonus for business meetings. Brooklyn’s on Boulder St. is actually an up-and-coming speakeasy in town (i.e., not a brewery), but it’s worth giving a mention as it distributed well-received handcrafted spirits courtesy of the on-site Lee Spirits Co. and can cater to smaller groups.

As mentioned, this is only a small sample of the craft beverage establishments available in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs, so you can easily find a spot to match the individual tastes within your group.
