The Wyndham Garden Providence hotel is in the process of being updated and rebranded as the Hilton Garden Inn Providence. Scheduled to reopen under the new brand in July 2016, the hotel is the city’s only waterfront hotel and is located across from India Point Park. The redesign and amenities are inspired by the history of the 19th century international trade that took place at India Point as well as its waterfront location. Updates include the hotel’s 137 guest rooms and public spaces and will remain open throughout the renovations. The hotel has 1,800 square feet of meeting space, including the Bayview Room, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the harbor. The property will be the first of its brand to feature a Media Room, a space for recreation and socializing, and will feature soft seating, a large high-definition television and full gaming system. Also new to the property will be an outdoor patio area for light dining and drinks with a full-service bar inside.
