In Vero Beach, Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa, owned by musical power couple Gloria and Emilio Estefan, recently unveiled a new resort pool area, with new Cuban tile wall pieces, new porcelain tile surrounding the pool deck and blue tile bordering the infinity pool and hot tub that glows underwater at night. For events, the pool deck joins 1,170 square feet of meeting space at the 94-room resort.
The PGA Country Club became the St. Lucie Trail Golf Club and opened to the public last fall at the PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, following an 18-month revitalization that upgraded its tee boxes, fairways, greens and landscaping. PGA Village is home to four golf courses in total, all open to the public, as well as several on-site lodging options and meeting space that includes the 23,650-square-foot PGA Education Center and the 8,300-square-foot PGA Museum of Golf.
Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie boasts a newly renovated theater/ballroom with new flooring and lighting, new decor and a more modern design. The room can host up to 750 and features an adjacent Spanish-style outdoor patio for meals and cocktails.
Connected to the Palm Beach County Convention Center via enclosed walkway, the newly opened Hilton West Palm Beach offers 400 rooms and more than 24,000 square feet of flexible event space, including six meeting rooms.
Ground is due to break this month on a new Canopy by Hilton hotel in West Palm Beach, Hilton’s foray into properties reflecting their surrounding neighborhoods and cultures. The 150-room hotel will be two blocks from the CityPlace shopping, dining and entertainment district.
Slated for a July opening, the Hyatt Place Boca Raton will include 200 rooms and 4,000 square feet of meeting and conference space.
Mandarin Oriental has announced a new hotel and residences for Boca Raton, scheduled to open in late 2017 with 158 rooms, a rooftop restaurant and extensive meeting space including a 4,500-square-foot ballroom and a variety of adaptable conference rooms.
