Step out onto the pool deck, sip drinks at the Treehouse Lounge at Tanner’s, relax at the Aarna Spa or unwind in one of the 250 guest rooms, all at the new Paséa Hotel & Spa, and you know you are at one of Southern California’s most iconic beach towns. The laid-back, coastal vibe can be seen and felt throughout the new hotel located right on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, and when I toured the property, just weeks before it opened, I didn’t want to leave.
When you arrive at the oceanfront property, the first thing to notice is the LED screen that spans the wall of the exterior displaying images of the ocean. Once inside, you can look through the lobby right out past the pool deck to the beach.
The on-site restaurant, Tanner’s, which also services the pool area, features an industrial design and open kitchen with a wood-fired grill. Upstairs is the Treehouse Lounge. Both the restaurant and lounge can be rented out for private events.
Speaking of events, most of the 34,600 square feet of meeting space also offers ocean views. The 11 meeting rooms include The Blue Room, which features a built-in bar and 2,700-square-foot terrace that can accommodate 250 guests. The 8,400-square-foot Sapphire Ballroom can be divided into three sections and opens to the Ocean Lawn and Terrace. This 14,600-square-foot space can host groups up to 1,400 and is truly a blank canvas for any type of outdoor event.
With its location in Surf City, USA, you can’t avoid the surfing culture. Paséa’s Surf Butler can assist guests and groups with surf lessons and provide a daily wave report to enjoy the locals’ favorite pastime. The hotel can also provide beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and even coolers filled with provisions for a fully outfitted beach day.
