Kudos: Visit Anaheim

Visit Anaheim held a staff-wide day of service volunteer at the OC Food Bank in Garden Grove Calif. Thirty-six staffers packed nearly 1,500 boxes of food to be delivered to parks and community centers for distribution to Orange County residents.

On June 28, Visit Anaheim was joined by Garden Grove Mayor Bao Nguyen in addition to the Garden Grove Tourism Promotion Corporation, who celebrated the occasion by donating $10,000 to the OC Food Bank.

“It’s inspiring to see our two local resort district powerhouses come together and pool efforts to help our community,” said Mayor Bguyen. “We appreciate Visit Anaheim’s commitment to our community and contributing time and resources to help our citizens.”

This event marks the launch of Visit Anaheim’s community giveback initiative, Visit Anaheim Cares. Following the DMO’s mission to benefit the economic vitality of the community, Visit Anaheim has pledged to inspire community service acts that positively impact the Orange County community.

“This is just the start of our new community giveback initiative, Visit Anaheim Cares,” explained Jay Burress, president and CEO, Visit Anaheim. “As an organization and destination, we are inspired and committed to serving our community and positively impacting their economic vitality.”
