Movie theaters are ready for their close-up once again. Many classic single-screen theaters have been closing, forcing a shift in the movie-going experience. Some theaters are now offering luxury seating and gourmet food and drink, allowing guests to have an experience that goes beyond just viewing a film.
Cinépolis USA is one company that features reclining leather seats and food and beverage butler service delivered to guests’ theater seats, and in addition to showing the latest blockbuster, groups can also use the space for a range of events.
“Cinépolis has hosted an array of corporate groups for meetings and events,” said Natasha Lum, regional sales and special events manager for Cinépolis USA. “Whether they are there for a business presentation or a special event, they’re drawn to the amenities the cinema offers. Things like local craft beer, great wine, handcrafted cocktails, stylized lobbies and exceptional service. The large format screens really take their presentations and events to a new level and totally impress event attendees.”
The company has six luxury theaters as well as others at its premium and traditional levels in Southern California and Florida that offer rentals for events of 13 up to full theater buyouts. With the large-format screens groups can use the space for presentations, premiers and private screenings, such as showing classic movies. Private lounges can also be used for cocktail receptions, corporate events and business meetings.
