The Thompson Seattle (www.thomp
sonhotels.com) recently debuted as the brand’s first property in the Pacific Northwest. The 158-room hotel, located adjacent to Pike Place Market, offers 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
Loews Hotels & Resorts purchased the 120-room Hotel 1000 (www.hotel1000
seattle.com) in downtown Seattle. The property features 6,000 square feet of meeting space, including the nearly 1,900-square-foot Great Room and an outdoor terrace that is available year-round.
Seattle Southside
The 459-room Seattle Airport Marriott will undergo extensive renovations in the coming months. The transformation will include adding meeting and event space to the existing 15,000 square feet, an atrium reconfiguration for meetings and events, and upgrading public spaces.
The 238-rooom Embassy Suites at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport completed phase one of a multimillion-dollar public space renovation that includes the atrium, lobby, its 5,000 square feet of meeting space and the pool.
Spokane
The Red Lion Hotel at the Park is transforming into the brand’s upscale Hotel RL. Upgrades to the hotel include technology advances, including allowing guests to go online and select their room as they do an airport seat. The brand conversion is scheduled to debut in late summer.
