Take a Ride in Atlanta

Staying in shape while traveling is never easy, especially when the only option is the hotel fitness room. However, guests at The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta now have an option to maintain a healthy lifestyle while on the road and see the city’s sites at the same time with a new program, BikeWESTIN.

Guided tours take guests on an eight-mile route through the city, past sites such as the BeltLine, Freedom Parkway, Jackson Street Bridge and Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.

The Westin Peachtree Plaza is the first property in the Westin brand to debut BikeWESTIN and is a brainchild of Ron Tarson, general manager of the hotel, who has a passion for cycling, commutes by bike and had a vision for a guest experience in downtown Atlanta.

“At The Westin Peachtree Plaza we are hyper-focused on wellbeing and we’re honored to be the first Westin property to launch a bicycle fitness program,” Tarson said. “I know firsthand that there’s no better way to experience Atlanta than on two wheels. I’m excited to share my passion and introduce a new perspective to explore our great city.”

Groups that want to incorporate this into their event have the option of taking a more relaxed sightseeing excursion through the hotel’s partnership with Bicycle Tours of Atlanta.

The Westin Peachtree Plaza is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and this new program adds to its commitment to wellbeing for guests and staff along with RunWESTIN, SuperFoodsRx and Climb the Peach, where meeting attendees can climb the hotel’s 72 stories. The property offers 80,000 square feet of meeting space plus an additional 560,000 square feet of exhibit and event space connected via walkway to AmericasMart and Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree.
