The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on Maui unveiled its newly refreshed one- and two-bedroom Residences, renovated and expanded meeting space, as well as several additional enhancements.
The 19,200-square-foot Aloha Garden Pavilion was renovated and is the island’s only open-air, permanent outdoor ballroom. Another ocean-view venue has been created on the lawn area and this new space offers ocean views. Overall, the 463-room resort features 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
The Residences at the property were redesigned by Philpotts & Associates Interior Design. New interiors, incorporate the hotel’s surroundings and artwork created by local artisans and inspired by the natural beauty of the islands can be found throughout the Residences. The fully-equipped kitchens were also updated.
At the three-tier swimming pool and 20,000-square-foot sundeck there are new lounge chairs, sunbeds and palapas.
The lobby lanai now features fire pits, casual lounge seating and a new bar and cocktail menu. Also added was The Burger Shack, a beachfront restaurant that opened this past spring. The hotel’s signature dinner restaurant, The Banyan Tree, will undergo renovation for an indoor/outdoor bar and dining experience.
