TAIPEI, Twain
amba Taipei Songshan debuted in eastern Taipei in the top five floors of a new 21-story tower.
“We are very excited to bring Taiwan’s homegrown fun amba experience to eastern Taipei,” said Hubert Lee, President of Ambassador Hotels & Restaurants. “We’ve enhanced the guest experience with a chic urban vibe and additional comforts, while keeping amba’s quirky, playful style and focus on ‘Connectivity, Conservation and Creativity’.
The 17th-floor lobby offers views of the skyline and features SPIN, a communal game room featuring a custom-made ping pong table and a foosball table.
Authentic Taiwanese craftsmanship is showcased throughout the property. A collection of 24 giant eco-bamboo lanterns standing up to three meters high were custom crafted for the hotel by a team of artisans in central Taiwan from eco bamboo.
Most of the 189 guest rooms offer panoramic views of Taipei 101 and the city skyline, or the Keelung River and mountains.
amba’s Que restaurant on Level 17 has seating for 150 and is a modern chophouse serving wood-fired meats and seafood. There is also a private dining room that seats 50.
The property offers nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including the Studio on Level 17 that features high ceilings and large windows on two sides. The multi-functional suites has separate sleeping and living quarters, plus audiovisual facilities and a 10-person table for meetings or social dinners.
