Massachusetts
The 150-suite Residence Inn Boston Watertown opened along the Charles River less than 10 miles from Boston Logan International Airport. The hotel features public spaces designed to meet, collaborate and socialize, a MIX lounge, a business library and 845 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate about 100 guests.

New york
Hyatt Times Square New York unveiled its remodeled Salon Terrace, which will be open year-round and is designed specifically for meetings and events. The 4,000-square-foot terrace is on the second floor along with three meeting rooms, a boardroom and a foyer that can all be combined to accommodate up to 270 attendees. The 487-room Midtown hotel overall features 7,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Marriott Syracuse Downtown reopened after a $76 million, two-year restoration. The property, formerly the Hotel Syracuse, underwent a full renovation, including all of its 261 guest rooms, lobby, restaurants and 41,000 square feet of meeting space. The three ballrooms have been remodeled, two restored to their original historic design, and the third, the nearly 8,000-square-foot Finger Lakes Ballroom, was upgraded with a modern design and new technology, and is now IACC-certified. The Persian Terrace, which can accommodate up to 175 people, was also restored to highlight original architectural details. The hotel’s new restaurant, Eleven Waters, offers all-day dining while the Cavalier Room serves cocktails and small plates. Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub and the Legacy Steakhouse are scheduled to open on-site in late 2016.

Pennsylvania
Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue opened with 333 guest rooms. All feature the brand’s new room design. The eight-story hotel offers an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, complimentary on-site parking and guest laundry. The hotel also features the 6,375-square-foot Fairmount Ballroom, which can accommodate functions of up to 300 people, as well as on-site catering.

Washington, D.C.
The dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Washington, D.C. NoMa Union Station and Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington, D.C. NoMa Union Station opened in the city’s revitalized NoMa neighborhood within walking distance to the Metro’s Red Line. The dual-brand property features larger communal areas and shared amenities like a fitness center, indoor pool and a rooftop observatory. The hotel has two distinct lobbies offering separate check-in desks, lodging and dining areas. The Hampton Inn has 125 guest rooms while the Homewood Suites features 114 studio and one-bedroom suites designed for extended stays.

Eastern Canada
Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market debuted with 200 guest rooms. The hotel is situated in a historical marketplace that now features boutiques, restaurants and galleries. Each floor of the 16-story building reflects the history and culture of a Canadian province or territory. In addition, the hotel has collaborated with local artists, musicians and designers to create events and programs that are unique to Ottawa and connect guests to the local culture. The property offers six function rooms, a restaurant and bar as well as a rooftop lounge with views of the city. The studio spaces and lounges that can be used for meetings and events total 4,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 140 guests.
