At the Sagamore Hotel Miami Beach art is all around. Situated in the Art Deco District of South Beach, the theme can be seen across the property, not just on the walls, but through music, visual art, food, fitness and events.
Under new ownership this year, the hotel partnered with Art Advisor Sebastien Laboureau to create programs with both local artists and galleries as well as with nationally known museums and institutions. One addition is the Art & Beyond collection from internationally acclaimed artists that can be viewed at the hotel. The installation, representing different mediums, examines the relationships between art, fashion and technology.
At the Art of Happy Hour, guests can take advantage of food and drink specials in the hotel’s new restaurant, Canvas, and take a guided art tour through the property with Laboureau.
The hotel was designed in 1948 by renowned Miami architect Albert Anis just as the Art Deco District was developing. Today, the property features two buildings with 93 guest rooms, a pool, indoor and outdoor function space and a full-service restaurant. There is 18,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 200 people and includes the Art Video Bar, Game Room, Video Garden and Terrace.
