Off the Grid all began with the idea to group street food trucks and vendors together along with music, drink and entertainment in one public space.
Currently Off the Grid (OTG) has more than 50 weekly public events across the Bay Area that transforms parks, parking lots, plazas and other underused spaces into events with a selection of food, drink and music.
Recently, with the continued popularity of food trucks and the growing variety of cuisine offered, OTG expanded to include catering for private events. With partnerships and relationships with more than 160 vendors, groups are able to customize their experience, whether it be sweet and savory options, a cuisine-specific theme, a happy hour with a full bar, music and entertainment, or a selections to fit all dietary needs.
OTG event managers can take the lead on location permitting, equipment rental, entertainment and decor as well as vendor selection and menu planning. Groups can chose packages from The Basic Meal Package that include one food truck with a pre-selected menu, to The Ultimate Feast, an option with five to six tasting portions, specialty drinks and dessert. For more formal settings, OTG can arrange for the food trucks to be parked outside and have food stations set up indoors, coffee or bar service, hors d’oeuvres and even VIP stations.
