Go LIVE!

They share, they care—and they hunger for real-life experiences. In a 2014 nationwide study, EventBrite found that 82 percent of Millennials (18-34 in this case) engaged in some form of live experience during the year. With outdoor festivals and action sports among the consumables, the report’s key findings reveal a blueprint for planning for and getting Millennial attention.

  • 78 percent of Millennials would rather purchase experiences than material things.
  • 55 percent are spending more on events and live experiences than ever before.
  • 72 percent want to increase their spending on experiences.
  • 77 percent get their “best memories” from live events and experiences.
  • 69 percent say FOMO (fear of missing out) significantly drives “showing up, sharing and engaging.”

Most tellingly, Millennials are not alone. The report also found that total U.S. consumer spending on live experiences and events is up 70 percent since 1987. Are you experienced?
