DoubleTree by Hilton opened its first property in the university city of Lawrence, Kan. Following a multimillion-dollar renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Lawrence is located off of Interstate 70 and within 10 blocks of the university. The 192-room, four-level hotel is also easily accessible to downtown Lawrence's historic landmarks, boutiques, fine restaurants, and numerous corporate offices.
Designed in a rustic chic theme, the remodeled public areas, guest rooms, and dining facilities complement updates made to the 18,000-square-foot convention center, the largest in Lawrence, and its surrounding areas.

The redesigned lobby and other public areas embody a sleek and contemporary design and are appointed with wood and Midwestern stone accents, accompanying warm, calming hues and handpicked artworks.
Guest rooms and suites feature new décor and furniture and are equipped with conveniences desired for a relaxing vacation or productive business trip. Rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, well-lit desk, in-room safe and DoubleTree Sweet Dreams Sleep Experience beds. Several suites are available, providing more space in the separate living area, a compact kitchenette and multiple sleeper sofas.
Free Wi-Fi is offered in each guest room and suite, as well as in all public areas.
DoubleTree by Hilton Lawrence offers 19,125 square feet of meeting and banquet space, including two divisible ballrooms. The largest, the Regency Ballroom, can seat up to 600 guests banquet style or 1,000 guests, theater-style. Two permanent boardrooms, a hospitality room and a sound system and audiovisual equipment are also available. Catering services and a dedicated events staff are available to enhance any occasion.
In addition to meeting space, dining options abound for all guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Lawrence. In the lobby, the Heartlands Garden Grill is a casual, contemporary restaurant offering breakfast classics and, on weekends, a full breakfast buffet. The hotel also offers Boulevard Grill, a restaurant with American-style favorites and beers on tap from Kansas City's renowned Boulevard Brewing Company.
