Florida
The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is nearing completion of its golf course renovation, expected to be completed by mid-November. The course is being redesigned with input from acclaimed course designer Jack Nicklaus in collaboration with course architect John Sanford. This project follows $50 million in renovations at the resort over the last few years. In addition to the new course, the resort has added a 300-yard practice and teaching range and will have new golf carts with GPS tracking systems to aid golfers with yardages on each hole. The 319-room resort features 34,000 square feet of meeting space, including outdoor venues and the 6,300-square-foot River of Grass Ballroom.

Georgia
Barnsley Resort is expanding to include a new 54-room inn and conference center with more than 19,000 square feet of additional indoor and outdoor meeting space. The northwest Georgia property will then have a total of 150 guest rooms and 15,500 square feet of indoor meeting space. The resort’s existing accommodations, amenities, activities and restaurants will remain available throughout the expansion project. The Georgian Hall Conference Center will offer 10,500 square feet of indoor space and 8,350 square feet available outdoors. The 5,000-square-foot Savannah Ballroom, which will have the ability to be divided into two smaller spaces, will be able to accommodate up to 500 guests and features a terrace for up to 200.

South Carolina
The DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront opened after a property-wide renovation and expansion. Formerly the Springmaid Beach Resort, the hotel features a new main building with an ocean view restaurant and lounge that includes a private dining area, as well as a grab and go snack area and outdoor entertainment terrace. The 452-room hotel offers 35,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, making it the largest conference center in Myrtle Beach. The three-story center was renovated with new decor, carpet, floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views and access to oceanfront balconies. The three ballrooms are divisible into 19 meeting or breakout rooms for up to 1,000 guests. The resort also has several small meeting rooms and hospitality suites.

Tennessee
The Crowne Plaza Memphis Downtown completed a multimillion-dollar renovation. The 230 guest rooms were upgraded with new carpet, window treatments, furniture and TVs. The hotel also has new signage, lighting and an updated main entrance and reception desk, as well as a redesigned restaurant with the addition of outdoor patio seating. The property features 8,600 square feet of meeting space, including eight meeting rooms and a 2,300-square-foot renovated ballroom with a capacity for 250. Groups can also use the new Blues Patio for private events.

Texas
Hilton Houston Post Oak, a 448-room hotel in the city’s Galleria area, completed the guest room phase of its renovation project. The rooms were upgraded with new bathrooms, color palette, fabrics and furnishings, and digital room keys were introduced. Further renovations, including the hotel’s 10,360-square-foot Grand Ballroom and over 28,000 square feet of meeting space, the property’s Executive Level Lounge and Presidential suites are expected to be finished by the end of the year. The hotel is located in the Uptown business district, a block from the Galleria Mall and 30 minutes from both George Bush Intercontinental and Houston Hobby Airports.
