Baton Rouge
The Watermark Baton Rouge, Autograph Collection hotel by Marriott, opened downtown in October with 144 guest rooms and 2,295 square feet of event space, including a 1,100-square-foot ballroom
The 299-room Baton Rouge Marriott is currently undergoing a renovation, including updates to guest rooms and meeting spaces. The project is scheduled for completion by summer 2017.
Courtyard by Marriott broke ground downtown in fall 2016 and is projected to open by winter 2017 with 135 guest rooms.
Shreveport-Bossier City
Caesars Entertainment opened the new Whiskey Roadhouse, a combination bar and nightclub, at Horseshoe Bossier City in March 2016.
In March 2016, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau launched an all-new website to better serve meeting planners, who can access industry-specific information by clicking ‘Meetings’ on the top of the homepage or by using the dedicated URL.
Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City added Bamboo Asian Cafe to its dining roster in July 2016.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport/Bossier City unveiled a new menu for meetings in July 2016. Guests can enjoy Northwest Louisiana’s cuisine with new performance stations, including a vertical salad bar, fiesta fajita bar, Southern smashed potato bar and Cajun-style grits bar.
