Colorado
Delaware North acquired the Rocky Mountain Park Inn, located in Estes Park a few miles from the eastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The 150-room hotel is undergoing renovations of its guest rooms, restaurant, bar and common areas and is scheduled to reopen in May. The property also features a 20,000-square-foot conference center, indoor pool and fitness center.

Hawaii
Wailea Beach Resort–Marriott, Maui is set to debut its $100 million transformation in late December. The property-wide renovation includes a new arrival area, six new dining options, three pools, 547-redesigned guest rooms and upgrades to all indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces. One of the new dining outlets is Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi, with a Hawaiian-inspired menu. Mo Bettah Food Truck and NALU Pool Bar were also added to serve grab-and-go options and local favorites. The resort features 28,100 square feet of meeting space as well as 60,000 square feet of outdoor function space. The 13,800-square-foot Aulani Ballroom can accommodate 1,200 guests while the 16,000-square-foot Pacific Terrace has a capacity for 700 people. www.marriott.com

Nevada
W Las Vegas debuted with 289 guest rooms in a tower of SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The Living Room bar features intimate seating nooks and was inspired by casino gaming tables. The hotel’s 2,382-square-foot Extreme WOW Suite on the top floor was designed by musician Lenny Kravitz and has a balcony with mountain views. The property offers three floors of meeting space totaling 15,000 square feet and the adjacent SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino has an additional 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel also has a rooftop WEST Deck, AWAY Spa and FIT, a 24-hour fitness center.

Oregon
The Hi-Lo, Autograph Collection is set to debut in downtown Portland in early 2017. The property, in the historic Oregon Pioneer Building, will offer 120 guest rooms and 3,350 square feet of meeting space across four event rooms. The on-site restaurant, Alto-Bajo, will serve modern Mexican cuisine in an upscale setting and Lo Bar will offer hand-crafted cocktails. The accommodations include five executive corner king rooms and five one-bedroom suites, and all rooms will offer amenities by Maak Lab featuring a custom scent designed exclusively for the hotel.

Mexico
Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya opened just north of Playa del Carmen. The new property is situated on 590 acres and features 214 guest rooms housed in 28 buildings with design inspired by the more than 200 bird species found at Mayakoba. The natural forms and curves of birds can be seen in the geometry of the roofs of the guest room buildings and elements of the Mayan culture can be found throughout the resort. The property offers 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space located in the center of the property and includes five meeting rooms, a 6,000-square-foot ballroom, fully equipped open kitchen, breakout spaces and outdoor and lawn areas.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Mexico City Santa Fe opened adjacent to the Expo Santa Fe Mexico Convention Center in the city’s new corporate district. The 172-room hotel will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation and is part of a dual-brand development that includes a 189-room Hilton Garden Inn expected to open in late 2017. The property features 12,700 square feet of meeting space that includes 14 rooms and can accommodate up to 660 guests.
