Anchorage
Anchorage’s Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center and William A. Egan Civic & Convention Center completed Wi-Fi upgrades in July 2016. Among other recent updates, the Dena’ina Center installed a 90-inch high-definition video screen and the Egan Center added new exterior paint, carpet and audiovisual systems.
Juneau
At press time, Four Points by Sheraton Juneau, formerly the Goldbelt Hotel, was scheduled to open early this month with 106 newly renovated guest rooms. The hotel is located steps away from Centennial Hall Convention Center.
Matanuska-Susitna
Alaska Garden Gate B&B and Cottages completed an addition in March 2016 that includes customized meeting space for up to 60 people.
Knik River Lodge completed an expansion project in May 2016 that includes a new lodge with two meeting rooms.
Sitka
Harrigan Centennial Hall Civic & Convention Center completed a renovation that doubled total function space to 32,000 square feet, including a ballroom/auditorium.
The 70-suite Aspen Suites Hotel Sitka is scheduled to open in July steps away from the convention center.
