WASHINGTON
Seattle
The 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Seattle is scheduled to open downtown by mid-2018 with more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space.
The SLS Seattle is scheduled to open this year with 184 guest rooms and 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle completed a renovation of all 450 guest rooms in July 2016.
The 158-room Thompson Seattle opened downtown in June 2016 with more than 3,500 square feet of indoor-outdoor event space.
Renton-based Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport is on track to open in mid-2017 with 347 guest rooms and 43,000 square feet of meeting space.
Seattle Southside
Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is undergoing a public space renovation to include the main lobby, meeting space and guest room corridors.
Bellevue
The W Bellevue is scheduled to open this June with 245 guest rooms.
Meydenbauer Center completed a renovation last year including upgrades to meeting rooms.
Spokane
At press time, DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane City Center, which features 21,000 square feet of meeting space, was on track to update all 375 guest room bathrooms by this month.
Vancouver Washington
The Waterfront Vancouver, a $1.5 billion development that will include a new hotel, restaurants, shops and a waterfront park, is slated to open later this year (2017).
Ilani Casino Resort is slated to open this spring with a 100,000-square-foot gaming floor and a 2,500-seat event space. A hotel is planned for phase two of the project after the casino has opened.
Snohomish County
Courtyard by Marriott Seattle North/Everett opened in November 2016 with more than 3,700 square feet of event space and 156 guest rooms.
OREGON
Portland
This summer, Portland is set to begin construction on the 600-room Hyatt Regency Portland, which will be located across from the Oregon Convention Center and will offer meeting and banquet rooms when it opens in fall 2019.
Lane County
Hilton Eugene & Conference Center will update its 30,000 square feet of meeting space this year.
Bend
Pronghorn Resort is expected to open a lodge and event facility this fall.
IDAHO
Boise
The first phase of the Boise Centre expansion opened in September 2016. Upon completion of the expansion, the facility will have nearly 93,000 square feet of event space.
