NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.
MGM National Harbor, a $1.4 billion integrated resort, is the newest destination in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia region for groups. The 308-room resort property offers an array of attractions and 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
“Our resort offers groups a variety of flexible spaces to provide a stunning location to fit each event’s needs and add to the overall experience,” said Sheila Hession, executive director of Sales for MGM National Harbor. “A short distance from Washington D.C. and just minutes from Alexandria, VA, MGM National Harbor is a resort destination unlike any other on the East Coast.”
MGM National Harbor Conference Center features 50,000 square feet of versatile space and has been thoughtfully planned with ballrooms, meeting rooms and boardrooms adjacent to open, airy foyers overlooking The Conservatory and surrounding area. All meeting spaces incorporate sister properties’ names to highlight the resort’s connection to other top destinations: the 16,137-square-foot MGM Grand Ballroom with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and 6,000-square-foot outdoor terrace with spectacular views of the Potomac River; the 4,284-square-foot Bellagio Ballroom; three 1,838-square-foot meeting rooms–ARIA, Mandalay Bay and Beau Rivage; and two Mirage Boardrooms.
Technology throughout the space allows meeting planners to develop custom programs with ease. A video wall can display a company’s latest product or digital welcome messaging; a 64x64 matrix router provides intra-room connectivity to share audio, video and data throughout any room in the conference center; and boardrooms feature built-in, 90-inch screens with video/teleconferencing capability. Every room has fiber optic ports as well as touch panels to control lighting and custom music selections.
For uniquely tailored event locations, the 308-room resort and casino has been designed with stunning indoor and outdoor venues providing groups numerous options to customize their gathering. The 3,000-seat Theater at MGM National Harbor features seven VIP suites, each accommodating 18 to 22 guests. Suite guests have access to a private theater entrance, VIP lounge with full-service bar and views of the stage and area below. Scalable chair and table designs allow for tailored set ups for high-impact receptions, speaking engagements, product launches and general sessions. Based on the configuration, the multiuse venue can accommodate groups from 500 to 4,000.
Overlooking the harbor with views of the Potomac River and the nation’s capital, the Potomac Plaza incorporates a soothing fountain and reflecting pool surrounded by lush greenery. These elements set the stage for memorable outdoor events for groups of 50 to 500 for buffet receptions. Other locations available for private events include the pool deck, dining outlets, lounges and select suites.
The resort’s catering team can create food and beverage experiences to enhance any occasion including celebrity chef-inspired tastings and signature cocktails. From popular regional cuisine featuring locally sourced foods to the finest international fare, guests are sure to enjoy the variety of culinary delights.
For guests wanting a dining experience beyond the numerous event venue options, the resort’s culinary program features a powerhouse lineup of chefs including José Andrés, Marcus Samuelsson, and Bryan and Michael Voltaggio. Each concept has been carefully crafted to pay homage to the culture and influence of the region’s prominent culinary landscape. Private and semi-private dining areas are available for groups between 12 and 40 people.
There are 308 guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and are stylish and refined with attention to detail throughout. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology are standard throughout all rooms, enabling guests to conveniently stay connected.
