Cambodia
The Courtyard Siem Reap Resort is scheduled to open by mid-year and will be the first Marriott International-branded property in Cambodia. The hotel will offer 233 guest rooms and is located near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Archaeological Park. Food and beverage options include a casual, all-day dining restaurant; The View, a rooftop bar with views of Angkor Wat; and a lobby lounge. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and a full-service spa, as well as 7,700 square feet of meeting space across six rooms and a capacity for nearly 400.

China
Sheraton Huangdao Hotel opened with 350 guest rooms, most featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with ocean views. The property features 29,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 12,900-square-foot ballroom with the capacity for 1,100 people. The hotel offers the brand’s Paired program in the ocean-themed lobby lounge and two additional dining options: FEAST, an all-day dining restaurant with international buffets; and Yue, a Chinese restaurant serving both traditional and contemporary cuisines. The hotel is located within the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone and the city is known for its beaches, cultural heritage and mountain views.

Germany
Trans World Corporation, an owner and operator of casinos and hotels in Europe, acquired the Lindner Sport & Aktivhotel Kranichhöhe, a business and recreational hotel property located in Much. TWC will operate the hotel under its Trans World Hotels brand and following renovations the property will be renamed Hotel Kranichhöhe. The 107-room hotel features three dining outlets, a wellness center and spa, an indoor pool, a tennis complex and an outdoor volleyball court. There are 18 meeting rooms ranging from 270 square feet to 2,900 square feet and the largest has capacity for nearly 800 people.

Nigeria
The Renaissance Lagos Ikeja Hotel opened as the brand’s first property in Sub-Saharan Africa. The 155-room hotel features an outdoor pool with city views, nearly 7,200 square feet of meeting space and several dining options. Cut is a steakhouse; Iyeru Okin is an all-day dining restaurant with traditional and continental dishes; Choco-Latte is the hotel’s coffeehouse; and RBar, open 24-hours, serves drinks and small bites. There are eight meeting and event spaces on the second floor that can accommodate up to 500 attendees along with a dedicated bar and breakout areas.

Singapore 
JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach debuted near Marina Bay entertainment and business districts. The hotel, the first JW-brand property in Singapore, has 634 guest rooms, nine dining options and about 19,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. The property consists of both historic and newly constructed buildings and features a multimillion-dollar collection of more than 30 works of art and installations by regionally and internationally acclaimed artists. Five of the hotel’s planned nine restaurants and bars opened in December, including celebrity chef Akira Back’s self-titled restaurant, which offers modern Japanese cuisine with Korean accents, while the remaining outlets are scheduled to debut by mid-2017. The meeting and event spaces are housed in Assembly, one of the property’s restored historic buildings, and include a nearly 5,600-square-foot grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 550 guests.

United Kingdom
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Edinburgh Airport opened following a renovation and brand conversion. The hotel is five minutes from the airport via a complimentary shuttle and less than 10 miles from city center. There are 150 refurbished guest rooms, the brand’s LivingWell Leisure Club, as well as The Space Restaurant offering an all-day dining menu of traditional Scottish fare. The hotel features 22 meeting rooms totaling 2,700 square feet for up to 300 guests.
