The Silent Spa is now open at the Therme Laa–Hotel & Silent Spa in the Weinviertel region of Austria. This 122-room spa hotel is situated in the country’s largest wine producing region and offers thermal water pools, saunas and even a kids’ spa with waterslides and features.
The new Silent Spa is a stand-alone building to complement the hotel complex and was designed by architect Wolfgang Vanek. The design of the spa is meant to inspire and provide a tranquil and relaxing space, and most importantly a quiet sanctuary with well-designed lighting, furnishings, scents and decor.
Individuals or groups can reserve a lounger space at the spa, which is equipped with a tablet for ordering massages, treatments, food and beverage, reading, playing games and watching movies. There are also games and a library for those that want to get offline for a complete shutdown. Four separate and unique spaces within the spa were designed for different offerings, such as a saltwater pool, lounges, a salt chamber, a steam bath, a fitness area and a restaurant and bar. The centerpiece of the structure is a three-story cascading fountain, reinforcing water as the theme of the property.
At the hotel, there are three meeting rooms, totaling 3,230 square feet, that can be used as one space for up to 180 people, or as three smaller, separate areas. There are also two workshop rooms that have the capacity for 10 guests each. On-site teambuilding options include cooking and wellness focused programs or more active pursuits such as fitness classes, as well as off-site options. Groups can arrange to have a tour of the medieval town, wine tasting at some of the region’s vineyards, or explore the nearby mountains on a guided expedition.
