Caribbean Hilton Curates Activities

The team at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino might know you better than you know yourself. With the new “Discover Your Personality, Discover Your Fun” program activities and tours are suggested based on your personality. Using the 16-personality test based on the Myers-Briggs Indicator, which has users take a 10 minute online test to determine their personality type, the beach concierge team creates a list of both on- and off-site activities that align with the findings.

“The suggested activities are designed to match the personality type of each guest. For example, an “architect” is considered to be a person who is imaginative and strategic,” explained Jessica Gonzalez, senior marketing manager, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino. “Suggested activities for this personality type include a tour of Oranjestad to admire the colorful and historic architecture, a bike tour to the famous California Lighthouse, a visit to the local museums and so on.”

Other activities include hiking Arikok, Aruba’s National Park, experiencing the island culture at the Bon Bini Festival at Fort Zoutman or Carubbian Festival in San Nicolas, learning about the island’s history at the Archaeological Museum or Historical Museum, or simply relaxing poolside or unwinding with a yoga class.

“Group participants can take the test even prior to arrival and communicate the outcome with our beach concierge team who will provide the guest with the card for their specific personality type,” Gonzales said. “Creating a customized activities program for a group is also possible.”

This is just one of the new programs now offered at the recently renovated property. A waterproof library with a collection of completely waterproof books to check out and enjoy at the pool was added and a beach tennis court that mixes the games of tennis and volleyball on a sand “court” also debuted.

The $25 million renovation included a refresh of its 357 guest rooms, pools, entrance, lobby, landscape and public spaces. The property sits on 15 acres and boasts 24,000 square feet of outdoor event areas and 15,000 square feet of indoor meeting space.
