Catering to the mega-music festival market, Las Vegas in recent years introduced outdoor event space such as MGM Resort International’s Las Vegas Village & Festival Grounds, accommodating 40,000 people and 85,000 people, respectively. While discussions continue for a possible 65,000-seat NFL stadium, other large-scale venues include the approximately 142,000-person-capacity Las Vegas Motor Speedway and University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ 40,000-seat Sam Boyd Stadium. At the smaller end of the open-air scale, the Henderson Pavilion combines tented and lawn seating for 6,587 people.
For indoor events, Vegas offers at least 30 multipurpose arenas, theaters and live venues.
