Laila Ea, CMP HMCC, founder of the SOSI, has been named president of the Philadelphia chapter of MPI. Ea launched the SOSI, an event management company, in September 2016 and has since worked on an array of functions of all sizes across the Philadelphia region.
Ea pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Institutional Management from Penn State University and her postgraduate career began with Marriott in Gaithersburg, Md. Since then, she has held positions at the Inn at Penn, a Hilton Hotel in University City, Pa., and was part of the pre-opening team at the four-star Logan Hotel in Philadelphia.
Ea earned her Healthcare Management Certified Certificate and became a Certified Meeting Professional. In addition to her MPI role she is part of the National Association of Asian American Professionals and a member of Toastmasters International.
