Memphis
The Guest House at Graceland, a resort hotel next to Graceland, opened in October with 430 rooms and 20 suites with design and decor supervised by Priscilla Presley. The hotel, the largest property to open in Memphis in 90 years, features five dining options, a 464-seat theater for live performances and 25,000 square feet of meeting space, including a Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 1,200 guests. Other event areas include The Lawn at The Guest House, a manicured outdoor space that can be tented and holds up to 400 people for a reception.
The Hotel Napoleon, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member opened near Beale Street in a 1902 building on the National Register of Historic Places. The boutique property has a fitness center, restaurant and bar.
Nashville
The Westin Nashville opened in October in a high-rise building adjacent to Music City Center. The 453-room hotel offers 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a ballroom accommodating up to 500 people and a rooftop lounge with sweeping city views.
The 224-room Thompson Nashville opened with 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a rooftop bar and three restaurants operated by James Beard Award-winning chef John Besh.
The JW Marriott Nashville is scheduled to open in July 2018 next to Music City Center. The 532-room hotel will offer 50,000 square feet of meeting space, two full-service dining options, a rooftop bar and spa.
The 21C Museum Hotel Nashville is scheduled to open in May near the Printers Alley entertainment district. The 124-room hotel will feature rooftop-level suites with private terraces. The hotel will feature 10,500 square feet of art exhibition and event space, a spa and a chef-driven restaurant.
The 180-room Kimpton Aertson Hotel is opening in July in Midtown with 6,500 square feet of meeting space, a spa and a chef-driven restaurant with private dining space.
A tri-branded Marriott property is expected to open in spring 2018 next to Music City Center. It will include the 207-room AC Hotel, 136-room Residence Inn and 125-room SpringHill Suites.
The Hutton Hotel launched the Remote Airline Check-In program that enables guests flying out of Nashville International Airport to check their bags, check in for the flight and print boarding passes from the hotel.
Chattanooga
The 114-room Tru by Hilton Chattanooga is scheduled to open in 2018 next to the DoubleTree Hotel in the downtown area.
Construction is underway on Moxy Chattanooga, a 102-room hotel geared toward Millennial travelers that is expected to open in spring 2018 in the Southside neighborhood.
Knoxville
Located on the grounds of World’s Fair Park, The Tennessean is opening in April with 82 guest rooms, a boardroom and fine-dining restaurant.
The luxury boutique property is adjacent to The Pavilion, which offers 16,500 square feet of indoor meeting space and adjoining outdoor function space.
The Hyatt Place Knoxville at the Farragut, a 165-room property located in a 1920s building that once housed the Hotel Farragut, is expected to open in August.
Pigeon Forge
The 178-room Black Fox Lodge recently opened in the foothills of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The lodge features meeting and event space for up to 450 people, a resort-style pool and full-service restaurant.
