Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza announced its recent hire of Walter F. Nemeth, CPCE, as director of catering. Nemeth will be responsible for social catering sales and working with the culinary team to enhance and deliver unparalleled events to wedding, gala and corporate clients.
“We are thrilled to have Walter join the team,” said Marty Rothchild, general manager. “His experience will allow the hotel to continue specializing in weddings and events that are to the caliber and service level our guests expect at the Netherland Plaza.”
Nemeth comes to Cincinnati with more than 20 years of catering sales and food management leadership. He has been the director of catering at the Georgian Terrace Hotel and the Grand Hyatt Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Ga., as well as the food and beverage director at the Doral Forresal Hotel and Conference Center in Princeton, N.J. He most recently owned and managed his own event company in Atlanta.
As an active member in the National Association of Catering and Events (NACE), Nemeth currently serves on the Foundation of NACE Board as a Trustee. He has also held the position of President, Vice President and Treasurer in the Greater Atlanta Chapter.
Nemeth’s past productions include the oversight of events at the historical Fox Theater in Mid-Town Atlanta, movie productions and high-end award shows in the arts and entertainment industry. The management and staff of the hotel is excited to welcome Walter to the team.
